Care Philosophy

I am passionate about women’s rights and making sure women obtain the care and services they need. My goal is to provide comprehensive health care for women of all ages and at any stage in their life.

Background

Dr. Michelle Lewis is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecological surgeon and decorated Air Force veteran. Dr. Lewis began her medical education at the University of Tampa in Tampa, FL, graduating cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry, Environmental Science. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA, and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Dr. Lewis treats conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, abnormal cervical cancer screenings, and menopause and peri-menopause symptoms. She specializes in pregnancy care and labor & delivery, including cesarean section, trial of labor after cesarean section, and postpartum depression. She is also skilled in gynecological treatments like hysterectomy, permanent sterilization, diagnostic laparoscopy, colposcopy, and cervical, vaginal, vulvar, and endometrial biopsies. Dr. Lewis served as an educator and provided OB/GYN services at one of the nation’s largest military medical centers, and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lewis has authored numerous publications and presentations on various conditions that affect women’s health and was awarded Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
