A graduate of Canisius College, Dr. Edward Bartels received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Internal Medicine. He went on to complete his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
Dr. Bartels previously served as president of the Sisters of Charity Hospital medical staff and president of the Medical Society of Erie County.
Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Bartels is currently a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Bartels is the councilor for the 8th district of the Medical Society of the State of New York, and is a member of the system-wide department of OB/GYN quality improvement committee.
