Background
Ramesh Luther, M.D., FACP, AGAF, FASGE, FACG is a graduate of H.P. Medical College, Simla, India.
Dr. Luther is an attending physician with Catholic Health Systems at Sisters of Charity Hospital, Main Street Campus as well as St. Joseph Campus. He has been in practice at the St. Joseph campus since 1985, where he is presently the director of the GI lab.
Dr. Luther has brought many first time procedures to the city of Buffalo which includes, PEGS, esophageal stent placement, permanent metal stent placement in the bile ducts and cholangioscopy. He was the first physician to perform an ERCP in a patient with Billroth II surgery, Roux-E-Y surgery and Biliary Manometry. Dr. Luther’s most recently certified to perform the ORBERA procedure, a non-surgical weight-loss solution for patients for whom a more permanent bariatric procedure may not be necessary.
