Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is reopening the Emergency Department at the Mercy Ambulatory Care Center (MACC) in Orchard Park on Sunday, January 30 at 7 am. Located at 3669 Southwestern Blvd., the MACC offers 24/7 emergency care with access to comprehensive cardiac and stroke services at Mercy Hospital. Classified as a two-bed hospital, the MACC differs from urgent care centers because it can accept ambulances and patients with severe and/or life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

The MACC’s Emergency Department was temporarily closed on November 9, 2021 as part of a phased plan to fully restore hospital services following a labor strike at Mercy Hospital. The closure was later extended to concentrate resources and staff at Mercy Hospital to help manage the most recent surge of COVID-19 across the region.

With the reopening of emergency services at the MACC, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services will resume on Monday, January 31 at the Orchard Park site. Other services at the MACC that have been open as usual include:

  • COVID Testing Station
  • Pre-Surgical Testing
  • Imaging Services
  • Pulmonary Function Testing Clinic
  • EKG Testing
  • Wound Healing Center
  • Partners In Rehab/AthletiCare Rehabilitation Services
  • Laboratory Services

The New York State Department of Health and local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers have been notified of the MACC reopening. For more information, visit chsbuffalo.org/macc.
