When to Take a Pregnancy Test
The best time to take a pregnancy test is after your period is late.
If you take the test too early, it may result in a false negative – a negative pregnancy test when you are actually pregnant. Although you may be tempted to take a pregnancy test early, wait until your missed period for the most accurate results.
If your cycles are irregular, test when you’ve passed the longest menstrual cycle that you usually have.
Menstrual cycles longer than 35 days are not likely to be ovulatory and should be evaluated by an OB/GYN, if you would like to achieve pregnancy.
Under the Age of 18?
There is no age requirement for a pregnancy test. Any minor can receive a pregnancy test without parental consent.
