Practice Greenhealth System for Change (2015)

Catholic Health has been named a 2015 “System for Change” award winner from Practice Greenhealth, the nation’s leading environmental healthcare organization. Practice Greenhealth promotes and enables efficiencies and environmental stewardship among its members while improving patient safety and care through tools, best practices and knowledge.

Joint Commission Accreditation (2018-2021)

Joint Commission accreditation is a voluntary process consisting of rigorous, unannounced site surveys by a team of physicians, nurses and other health executives. Commission accredited or certified organizations have demonstrated that they meet the highest standards in their field.

All Catholic Health hospitals have earned accreditation by The Joint Commission.

US News and World Report Badge

U.S. News & World Report, a trusted leader in hospital rankings and consumer advice, has named three Catholic Health hospitals “High Performing” in the Buffalo region for 2023-2024 in every one of its key medical specialties:

  • Mercy Hospital of Buffalo – Stroke, Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Attack, and Maternity Care
  • Kenmore Mercy Hospital – Knee and Hip Replacements
  • Sisters of Charity Hospital – Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair and Maternity Care
